Lifeline - Part 2

Jan 19, 2024

Today we will continue our discussion of the word LIFELINE and how its significance relates to our Christian walk as Mothers of Nations. Let’s first look at the Word of God where we can find many people who needed a LIFELINE due to their circumstances.

Jonah:  He was saved from death by a large fish (whale).

The Israelites:  They were saved from the giant Goliath by David. He was just a shepherd boy at the time.

Rahab:  She helped save the Israelite spies and her family. (Joshua 2: 2-16) NKJV

2 And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, “Behold, men have come here tonight from the children of Israel to search out the country.” 3 So the king of Jericho sent to Rahab, saying, “Bring out the men who have come to you, who have entered your house, for they have come to search out all the country.”

4 Then the woman took the two men and hid them. So she said, “Yes, the men came to me, but I did not know where they were from. 5 And it happened as the gate was being shut, when it was dar...

Lifeline - Part 1

Jan 12, 2024

When I woke up from a night’s sleep just recently I “heard” the word LIFELINE. I immediately knew that I needed to study this word to see what the Lord wanted to talk to me about. Maybe it was an idea for a sermon, this blog, or possibly I would meet someone who needed to hear what I learned. Or maybe someone listening to our daily radio program in Africa needed a LIFELINE and the Lord was preparing me to “throw” it!

To then deepen in my heart that I needed to study about LIFELINES, I “happened” upon a documentary that covered the life of a rancher in Colorado. Guess what was one of the things they brought up on that show? That’s right. The documentary spent some considerable time talking about LIFELINES.

So here we go! Let’s spend a few weeks delving into this topic and see what the Lord has to share with us as we study the significance of this word LIFELINE. I am certain that God has directed this message and I pray it is a help and an encouragement to you!

First of all, what is t...

Don't Look Back! -- Part 2

Jan 05, 2024

Happy New Year, Mothers of Nations!  Here we are stepping into a fresh new year full of potential and destiny for the cause of Jesus Christ.  If you have not already done so, please go back and read last week’s blog entry because today is a continuation of those thoughts and insights regarding our topic “Don’t Look Back!”

To move forward in our destinies, we cannot look back at the past and view it as better.

As an example, the Israelites started thinking that slavery was better than the wilderness where they were free!  Look at the following verses from Numbers 11.

Numbers 11: 4-9 (AMP)

4 The rabble among them [who followed Israel from Egypt] had greedy desires [for familiar and delicious food], and the Israelites wept again and said, “Who will give us meat to eat? 5 We remember the fish we ate freely and without cost in Egypt, the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions, and garlic. 6 But now our appetite is gone; there is nothing at all [in the way of food]  to be seen but this manna.”...

Don't Look Back! -- Part 1

Dec 29, 2023

Mothers of Nations, welcome to 2024 and all that this new year will offer us as women on assignment for the Kingdom of God! As each of us step into our new adventures with the Lord, I have some insights to share with you in this regard. I pray that these thoughts will minister to you as you let go of 2023 and move into the new seasons brought by 2024.

Let’s start by looking at Luke 9: 62 (AMP).  But Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back [to the things left behind] is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Jesus spent most of His time in the lower Galilee area, but one day He knew it was time to move on as destiny was awaiting Him.  He had been talking to the twelve disciples and was preparing them for their callings and their next seasons.  Here are some of the instructions and equipment that Jesus released to these who were ready to move forward in destiny.

  • Jesus gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure sickness and diseases. (Luke 9: 1)
  • ...

Gifts That Bear Fruit - Part 4

Dec 22, 2023

We will conclude our discussion of Gifts That Bear Fruit with this week’s blog entry. Let’s look at two final gifts that we should develop in our own lives so that we are ready to share them with others and bear good fruit in God’s kingdom.

Gift # 6:  The Gift of Grace

We all need to learn and practice giving the gift of grace to others. Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound!

We get better, not bitter, by extending grace to others. This involves the focused effort of letting go of wrongs done to us. Now I admit, that is easier said than done. However, it is absolutely necessary to walk in and give grace to others.

2 Corinthians 13:14 NLT says, “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”

Mothers of Nations let’s all purpose to develop and offer this Gift of Grace.

Gift # 7:  The Gift of Love

Love is patient.

Love is kind.

Love does not envy.

Love does not boast.

Love is not proud.

Love does not dishonor oth...

Gifts That Bear Fruit - Part 3

Dec 15, 2023

This week we continue our discussion of the topic Gifts That Bear Fruit. Last week we started with The Gift of Forgiveness and The Gift of Patience. Did you have opportunity to develop and “give” either of those gifts to others?

Let’s move on today and look at three more gifts that we should develop in our own lives and then be ready to give to others that will in turn bear much fruit and glorify our Father.

Gift # 3:  The Gift of Understanding

The gift of understanding revolves around learning to see the whole picture. To exemplify what I mean, let’s look at the life of Solomon.

Solomon knew that in order to be a good leader he would need WISDOM and UNDERSTANDING. He had watched his father rule and had observed the necessity of these qualities.

We read these words of Solomon in 1 Kings 3: 5-9.  5 At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I give you?” 6 And Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, ...

Gifts That Bear Fruit - Part 2

Dec 08, 2023

Last week we started a series of blogs regarding the topic “Gifts That Bear Fruit.”  I would encourage you to go back and read last week’s entry if you have not already done so. It will lay a good foundation to what we will be discussing today and next week.

As we think about the Christmas season and the traditions of gift giving, I would like to share with you SEVEN GIFTS that we can develop in our own lives and then have ready to give to others that will in turn bear much fruit to glorify our Father.

Gift # 1:  The Gift of Forgiveness

In Matthew 18:23-35 we read about the parable of the unforgiving servant. Here are a few details we glean from this story.

  •  It was a time of settling accounts.
  •  The Master wanted his money.
  •  The servant couldn’t pay so he begged for mercy.
  •  The Master forgave him and let him go.

However, that servant refused to forgive. He then held his own worker in bondage and refused to forgive. When the original owner found out, he threw the ungrateful s...

Gifts That Bear Fruit - Part 1

Dec 01, 2023

Jesus said in John 15:8:  By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

Mothers of Nations, as we come into this Christmas season, do any of you start to think about gifts? I certainly do as I ponder what I could buy for my kids, grandkids, relatives, spouse, special friends, etc.

And for me, this process seems to have become more complicated as the kids get older. Tastes change. Color preferences change. Interests change. I have found myself looking at the shelves in the stores and thinking, “Should I get this? Should I get that?”  And yet for me the process is enjoyable and gift-giving is a blessing.

But in the larger scope of things, I do believe that there are “gifts” we can give all year round that have no questions or wonderings around them! And this is the topic of the next few blogs during this Christmas season.

The Word of God tells us to “bear fruit” . . .  and lots of it! We can do this daily by bringing people to Christ, touchin...

Faith or Fear? Part 3

Nov 24, 2023

Hello all you faith-filled Mothers of Nations! I pray you have been full of faith this past week and defeated every fear-filled thought that the enemy has tried to send your way. Today we will complete our discussion of Faith or Fear? by looking at two more actions that we can take as believers when fear comes to challenge our faith in God. Let’s look at those now.

  •  Discourage any unbelief in our lives.

What is unbelief? It could be defined as the absence of faith or distrust. Unbelief leads to worry, anxiety, and panic. Some of the fruits of unbelief includes sickness, disappointment, depression, discouragement, and anger. Simply stated, unbelief is the very opposite of faith.

One great example of believing God rather that walking in unbelief is found in the life of Abraham.

Galatians 3: 5-7 (NLT)

5 I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Chris...

Faith or Fear? Part 2

Nov 17, 2023

Last week we started our discussion of the topic Faith or Fear? If you did not read through that blog entry, I would encourage you to do that first before moving on with today’s selection. It will give you some great foundational information as we continue this discussion.

Regarding the choices that come before us, what do we give control to? Think about this carefully. Do we give control to faith-filled thoughts or to fear-filled thoughts? We make these choices constantly as life’s challenges come before us. Faith or fear? Faith or fear?

Mothers of Nations, consider this honestly. As we love God and are in relationship with Him, we know that we know He loves us as well! So why do we submit to fear?

1 John 4: 18 (NLT) reminds us of this truth.

Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced His perfect love.

Fear can take us on a wild mental journey of uncertainty and d...
