Great Riches -- part 3

Uncategorized Feb 16, 2024

Let’s get started today and look at three more examples of the “Great Riches” we have as children of God.

EXCEEDING RICHES

Ephesians 2: 7 (NKJV) – “that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”

Ephesians 2: 4 (NKJV) – “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us…”

As I meditated on this provision of God’s “exceeding riches” for our lives, here are just a few of the blessings that seem to fall into that category.

  • God’s incredible, exceedingly immeasurable grace toward the guilty
  • God’s exceeding abundance of kindness toward us His children
  • God’s incredible abounding mercy for the worst of the worst

Mothers of Nations, most assuredly you and I are living in a world that needs God love and grace more than ever. And as we endeavor to minister to others and bring the gospel to all we meet, let’s remember that we don’t have to agree with others but we do have to love, to be kind, and to have mercy.

We cannot fall into the traps of hate, anger, frustration or fear. As believers, we have the blessing, the exceeding riches, of being smarter than our enemy!

RICHES IN GLORY

Ephesians 3: 14-19 (NKJV) -- 14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Here in this passage of Ephesians we note several of the riches of His glory that bless and enrich our spiritual lives as children of the living God. Because of these riches of God’s glory we are:

  • Strengthened in our inner man.
  • Rooted and grounded in love.
  • Assured that Christ dwells in our hearts by faith.
  • Able to experience the love of Christ.
  • Available to be filled with all the fullness of God.

We should never forget or ignore the blessing of His fullness in us, the riches of His glory unreservedly poured out to us as God’s children.

RICHES IN THE ANOINTING

I love God’s anointing and have studied, taught, preached and ministered it for most of my Christian life. In the light of our discussion of Great Riches, most certainly the riches of the anointing of the Lord make a lasting imprint on our lives as He anoints us with:

  • Trust
  • Power – to influence, take risks.
  • Giftings – to gain wealth.
  • Faith
  • Influence
  • Truth

Isaiah 45: 3 (NKJV) –“ I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel.”  I have found that times spent in the anointing of the Lord lead me to discover riches that I never knew were available previously.  In these secret places of His anointing are never ending treasures of wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and fulfillment.

Next week we will conclude this discussion of God’s Great Riches. Let’s be alert over these next days to note specific times in our daily lives when we recognized manifestations or experiences of God’s great riches!
